The AMC Criterion 6 was once a well-known movie theater located right on the busy Third Street Promenade in Santa Monica. It was located in one of Santa Monica’s busiest shopping and entertainment districts, making it a popular and commercially successful theater for years. Unfortunately the theater closed permanently in March 2013, after decades of continuous cinema use on that site stretching back to the 1920s.
